App Ecosystem
The work of a community is bigger than any one tool. WeShield is open: anyone can build an app on the same secure foundation, and any workspace can install it in a click. The difference is what an app can’t do — it runs in its own sandbox and can never act as you, invite people, or move your data.
Why open
We build a focused set of apps really well, and leave the long tail to the people closest to the work. The open layer is how that happens — without giving up the rule that a person approves anything that matters.
How it works
Say what you want to help with. The builder drafts a starting point you can edit, with AI assist if you want it. No code required for the basics.
Pick only what your app needs from a safe, curated list. Human-only powers — approving, publishing, inviting, exporting — can never be requested.
We generate your signing key; you keep it. Your app is registered, governance-checked, and yours to publish to the directory for any workspace to install.
Safe by construction
No matter how an app is written or who wrote it, these powers are off the table at the database itself — not left to an app review that might miss something.
Every action an app takes is recorded on a tamper-evident audit log, scoped to your workspace, in the region you control.
